On which side of the Knufflebunny-KAH-nufflebunny debate do you fall??
(via librarianpirate, meredithann)
They answer that question in #2. Trixie pronounces it KAH-nuffle Bunny and Sonja pronounces it (K)Nuffle Bunny.
As a bookseller, I’ve always said (K)nufflebunny. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say KAH-nuffle.
TRIXIE DOES! HARUMPF!
If Mr. Willems has as Dutch a heritage as his name would seem to indicate (Dutch father, perhaps?) then it’s just Knufflebunny (k not silent). See, “knuffel” is Dutch for “hug.” So it would make a lot of sense.
HERO = HAGUENITE!
Well, Trixie says knuffle, Sonja says Kah-nuffle— and I say knuffle. I don’t think either is right, but I was curious what the tumblr world thought. This is practice for when I lead a book group for 2 year olds (ha. hahahahhahhah.)
