The 26 year old mind v the 5 year old mind:

I have two different tabs on my iGoogle homepage. For the main one, with nyt headlines and gmail and weather and entertainment weekly (i have priorities, ok??), I have long used the AJA TIGER theme, which is a little tiger who I have named Kokomo, and her friends Pippit and Mizuki. I named them, and for a while thought about creating a children’s book based on them, because they are just that adorable. Kokomo is a watermelon farmer who also enjoys picking daffodils, eating noodles and doing homework. Sister Sailboat has long loved Kokomo, and begs with every-15-minutes regularity to see “what’s de wittle tiger doing now?”

See her adorableness!

I have also long had a second tab filled with random junk that was recently whittled down to pretty much just library-ish stuff.  The theme of that page rotates, but when I was recently home, Sailboat BEGGED me to let her pick the theme for it, one that would change with some regularity during the day, like Kokomo. As she’s just five, it was pretty easy to direct her to a theme of my choice, a little fox in the Teahouse Theme (who we are pretty sure is kokomo’s neighbor.)  Anyway, this is the fox in his adorableness:

Because I’m an awesome sister, I let Sailboat name the little fox, and she came up with…

wait for it…

INDIAN CHIEF MARSHALL.

This is awesome and unsurprising from a child who named her first baby doll Hamster. And whose sister came up with Sailboat.
