Reason #349248 I love my neighborhood:

I recently started Yelping, because SOMEONE out there might care about the opinions I have on the various coffee shops where I study and various swankified restaurants where I date dudes.  The other day I gave 5 stars to my favorite coffee shop, because I love it here (yes, I am writing this from there), and when I arrived this mornign, the owner, who I hadn’t ever officially met, ran up to me asking if I was Sarah. When I replied that I was, and wondered if i had left a credit card here or something, she threw her arms around me and gave me a giant hug and started profusely hugging me and thanking me for the 5 star review.  She then told me that when she saw the review, she showed it to the girl who works behind the counter and asked her if she knew me.  The girl said she did and then started freaking out thinking I’d been murdered (we’re a dramatic crowd here in Lakeview).  She was very happy to learn I was not dead.

Then, when I tried to pay for my coffee, they said no way lady, this is thanks for the awesome review!

Now, I’m not gonna tell y’all the name of the coffee shop in case you’re gonna give them 5 stars on yelp just for free coffee. Instead, you should stalk me a little, figure out where I always am, come here, discover the wonderfulness, and THEN yelp about it, give them five stars, and earn your own free coffee. and hugs.
